FIBER-PLAS®—
Fiberglass-Reinforced Plastic (FRP), Corrosion-Resistant Ductwork for HVAC and Industrial Applications

McGill AirFlow’s FIBER-PLAS ductwork is manufactured with continuous fiberglass strands, which are impregnated with vinylester resin and filament wound on a mandrel. Fiberglass makes this lightweight ductwork exceptionally strong. The resin enables the ductwork to resist the corrosive effects of most gases, acids, acid salts, and organic solvents. Standard FIBER-PLAS ductwork is fabricated in accordance with NBS PS15-69 and has an ASTM E-84 flame spread rating of less than 25. Ultraviolet inhibitors are included in outdoor exposures.
